meinGrün: Green in the city – Information and navigation to urban green areas

Urban green spaces (private and public) show positive effects on the urban climate and can be places for nature experience, recreation, and social interaction. Consequently, they play an important role for the quality of life of people living in and visiting cities. It is crucial not only to maintain green spaces under continuous land pressure, but to increase their attractiveness for an active use by the citizens. One important aspect in this context is solid information with regards to the location of green areas within the city, concerning their quality and amenities as well as their reachability. For this purpose, the meinGrün project currently develops a WebApp.

On 19 June 2020, the meinGrün web app was officially launched. Information about the app launch, the meinGrün web app and the team will be made available regularly on the meinGrün-Blog. There, WebApp users in particular will find helpful information on app use, events and various public activities.

Discover and win! For the App-Launch the meinGrün team developed several meinGrün scavenger hunts in Dresden and Heidelberg. The scavenger hunts have been guided the participants from one urban green space to the next using the meinGrün app and exciting tasks. Playfully you can get to know all the functions the app offers.
